Hi Steve,

I'm sure you meant well but it's not very likely a person who doesn't know
anything about subject A can tell whether this or that book is a quality
text on subject A. I realize I didn't ask "what are the best books today on
Java" and that may be a question I ask soon but I do have a small collection
of older books found online and would like to see how useful they are or if
anything bad happens if I use them. This is for my own interest not for a
job so I probably have different goals in mind than you. Thank you.
