It didn't work, as those who do remember it will recall. Pascal had limited traction, being used mainly in academia and in one Borland product that had some success but was hardly a market killer. "Attempts" at WORA were made, sure, but they pretty much all lacked the "A" until recently. My point is that, attempts notwithstanding, there really was no WORA back then. -- Lew
