_*NOT*_ asking for a Linux written in Forth!
The key feature of the mindset would be emphasis on factoring.
I wish to only acquire desired modules from the start.
What I've found so far are two unacceptable options:
1. download bloated system and then 'unload' extraneous
modules
2. download a so called "live edition" which may be
smaller, but wants to
load itself into a RAM disk.
I don't perceive any need for the typical "Desktop
Environment" such as
Gnome/KDE/etc. They all seem to automatically pull in "must
have ;/" modules
of no interest or which I actively do not want.
I do wish it to be capable of pulling in precompiled modules
from a relatively
standard repository such as Debian/Slackware/etc.
Any useful pointers?
TIA
P.S. family and friends have considered my ideas weird for
>50 years ;/
