Obviously the kind of people who want to create the kinds of virtual
worlds they happily enjoyed as teens (or younger).  Some of the better
games bring together talent and production values that would make
Hollywood blush.  As a medium, gaming has wonderful (and intrinsically
interactive) potential as a mode of artistic expression that just
happens to pass itself off as entertainment.  What's not to like?

Please don't step on this person's aspirations just because *you* don't
see the "value" in them.  Making games is seriously fun and engaging
work, if you can get it.
