As a medium, gaming has wonderful (and intrinsically interactive) potential as a mode of artistic expression that just happens to pass itself off as entertainment. What's not to like? Please don't step on this person's aspirations just because *you* don't see the "value" in them. Making games is seriously fun and engaging work, if you can get it.
