Thanks for that.  I knew part of the story but not all of it.  The thing
I posted was more oversimplified than it really should have been--my
apologies to Graydon.  I haven't met Graydon but had some fairly long
chats about Rust with one of the other developers (Tim) and have played
with it a bit.  I'm impressed with it.  It really does seem to fill a
need.
