It would be a lot better if the xt of the comparer function was passed in as a parameter, and the size of the elements was also passed in as a parameter. All of my code in the novice package is like this --- able to work with any data type. After including the novice package, it is possible to use SORT with multiple different data types, without recompiling the novice package (actually, without even having the source-code to the novice package).

Why is the concept of reusable code so difficult for the comp.lang.forth crowd? Alex McDonald says, "If you knew any Forth..." --- and then he proceeds to promote a programming technique that is (as WJ says), pure crap --- implying that anybody who knows any Forth, is necessarily ignorant of basic programming concepts.
