When I write "compile" in connection with xts, it just means "append
the semantics represented by the execution token to the current
definition"; it's just shorter to write.  But given the intentional
misinterpretation that you are trying to pull here, I now see why the
Forth-94 TC wrote the long form most or all of the time.

Yes, there is no way to get at the compilation semantics in released
Gforth if the xt represents the interpretation semantics of a combined
word, and for unnamed words there is no compilation semantics, so
"compile" in the documentation above cannot mean "compilation semantics".

Apart from that, the Gforth documentation for standard words is there
to provide an easy-to-understand description of the word, not to
override the standard.
