Huh? Its a walled garden because of where you can get it from? That's a
new definition of walled garden, anyway you can buy it from any of many
sources, J b HiFi for instance, or off eBay where I got my wife's one from.

> It's expensive compared to similar (Android) offerings from other vendors.

Not really compare to other similar models (I am talking of the Nexus 5
or 5x not the 6)

That could be said of most suppliers, only a few like Samsung cover the
whole range and and when comparing particular models that is irrelevant
anyway.

> It's limited in functionality by having no memory expansion capability.

Its got 32 gigs of memory, more than enough for most people, mine has
hundreds of tunes and photos, and dozens of apps on it and not even half
the memory is used.

For the price point, it cost approximately half the cost of similar
phones from other suppliers. If you want to buy something cheaper then
thats your choice, and you will have to accept that you will either get
updates late or not at all.

Google supply support to all, it's the manufacturers and telcos that are
the problem, not passing on updates in a timely manner, thats why, if
you want good support, you buy a Google phone. Thems the facts.
