It is no more "Propriety" than any other Android phone, there is no 
"Walled garden", it's just the same as any other Android, it cost half 
what an iPhone or a top end Samsung would have done. Get your facts 
straight Frank, and BTW, in what way is it limited in range and 
function, in the 3 years that I've owned it, I've found neither.
