Yeah, tho he didn't drink much in later years once the diabetes got him.

That's how he died, he'd been over to the next biggest town for the
latest wooden leg adjustment, had one hell of a job getting out of
the car. Ended up carking it in the house. He'd had a very low pulse
rate for years and even just going to the dunny for a piss wore him out.
Ended up with MRSA so they weren't game to try fitting a pacemaker.

Sounds like my sorta pub. Didn't notice anyone ordering anything
but beer at the Haymarket pub I got the $12 steak and free beer at.

or suits at the Haymarket that evening.
