  Thanks for that! I never dragged anything from the/a Start menu, but
if I ever would like to do that, I would indeed use copy/paste instead
of drag, because removing an item from the Start menu is not something I
would normally like to do.

  FYI, I just did a drag from the Open-Shell Menu (to the Desktop) and
indeed the item was removed from the 'Programs' part of the Open-Shell
Menu, so it indeed seems to be generic behaviour. Probably also for the
native Windows 11 'Start' menu, but I have not tried that.
