Per a later post you said that you checked the adaptor voltage.
According to the web, the center pin is a digital verification.
The inside of the barrel is +.
The outside of the barrel is -.
Shorting the digital pin to the inside of the barrel may destroy the 
power supply.
(This is similar to my Lenovo's pinout.)
