(Only after iPhone 14 and even then only with an eSIM can you initialize an iPhone WITHOUT the Internet Arno - and even then - it's over the cellular network). The iPhone is a completely brain-dead dumb terminal if the user doesn't log into Apple servers every moment of every day of the rest of their lives. Apple designed the iPhone as a dumb terminal. No other operating system is anywhere near as brain dead as iOS is.
