Naja, da man bei CP/M versäumt hatte ein wenig die Hardware zu definieren,
traf man sich auf dem Minimalstandard Intel8080 und 80 Textspalten. Auf dem
64er hatte ich dann mit Simons' Basic, Basiccompilern und Assembler meinen
Eigenbedarf programmiert, und fertige Spiele konsumiert, auf dem Apple// und
Basis 108 ganz zu Anfang ein wenig Basic, dann fast nur noch Pascal
programmiert.
Commodore hat ein paar signifikante Fehler gemacht:
Zu lange hat man auf der Teilkompatibilität untereinander herumgeritten.
Warum man das Microsoft-Basic künstlich kastriert hatte um es erst mit dem
128er einigermaßen komplett auszuliefern. Die PCs waren Krücken und für die
Amigas gab es kaum Software. Im Studium hatte nicht einmal eine
Textverarbeitung, die die Bezeichnung verdiente. Rechtschreibkorrektur gab
es gar nicht. Ich habe meine Arbeiten im Texteditor getippt und anschließend
mit einem DTP-Programm gesetzt. Ein Kommilitone hatte seine Arbeiten im
Texteditor direkt in Latex getippt. Als Asperger-Autist beherrschte er LaTeX
im Schlaf.
