Es gibt Ladecontroller, die ausschließlich die Momentanwerte von 
Spannung und Strom liefern. Es gibt Ladecontroller, die selbst einen 
Füllstand berechnen und darin nach nicht offen gelegten Algorithmen 
angeblich noch weitere Parameter berücksichtigen. Es gibt 
Ladecontroller, die direkt im Akkupack sitzen, und zusätzlich 
Insiderwissen über die konkret verbaute Zelle einbeziehen können.

In jedem Fall aber ist die Spannung die primäre Kenngröße für die 
Berechnung, so das durch einen alterungsbedingt erhöhten Innenwiderstand 
verursachte Spannungsschwankungen auch die Füllstandsanzeige wild 
springen lassen. Nichts anderes war meine Aussage.

Eine Marktübersicht der Controllerchips darfst du dir selbst basteln, 
gängige Typenbezeichungen stehen in den Kernel-Quellen. Du darfst auch 
gerne mit entsprechenden Tools Spannungs- und Füllstandsverlauf bei 
deinem Handy aufzeichnen und dich davon überzeugen, das diese sehr eng 
korrelieren.

Vor 30 Jahren waren AD-Wandler noch so teuer und stromfressend, das man 
bestenfalls einen Schwellwert überwacht hat. Oft nicht einmal das. Bei 
den damals üblichen NiCd-Akkus war es aber auch noch nicht ganz so 
tödlich, die Entladeschlussspannung ein wenig zu unterschreiten.
