Im übrigen hat mich da am Westsee ein aggressives Insekt, Hornissengroß, 
in den nur in einer Sandale offen getragenen Fuß gestochen. Es flog 
mehrere Angriffswellen.
Tat sauweh, geschwollener Fuß für ein paar Tage. Miststück.

Das aufregendste Erlebnis in Kenia war ganz ähnlich: Plötzlich waren 
mehrere Tse-Tse Fliegen im halboffenen Jep. Das sind keine Mücken wie 
die Anopheles, sondern bremsengroße und ähnlich aggressive Biester. Zwei 
beginnende Bisse hatten wir(sofort abgewehrt, aber minimale Biss-Spuren 
waren in der Haut. Ein voller Biß sei äusserst schmerzhaft).
Die können Trypanosomen übertragen, ein einziges Trypanosom reicht für 
eine Infektion mit der Schlafkrankheit aus.

Die gehen auch sehr aggressiv vor, überfallen zu mehreren ein 
flüchtendes Tier. Deswegen lockt sie auch der mit 30 km/h fahrende Jeep 
so an.

Kenia hat den letzten Fall von Schlafkrankheit 2013 verzeichnet, 
Tansania hatte 3 Fälle. Also häufig ist es zum Glück nicht.
