If the temperature climbs much above 52C (125F) I will consider removing
the fan housing by removing those four plastic spring clips which you can
see the topside of in this photo found on the net of exactly what mine is

I saw the suggestion to use nail clips to push the bottom up but the
question is whether at the same time you need to push the top down?

I would just try it if I wasn't so afraid of breaking it as they take a lot
of force to move just a little bit and then they bounce back into place.
