Installing an SSD in a mini is fiddly, and many people have broken minor things like the internal speaker connection or IR sensor when doing it, but it is worth it. The difference in speed of a system with an SSD over a hard drive is massive in every way. (I upgraded mine to dual SSDs and I don't think I broke anything, though honestly I'd have no idea if the IR sensor worked or not) -- Q: What's the difference between a civil engineer and a military engineer?
