Funny, I've learned / accomplished more with linux and the CLI than I
ever would have if I stuck with GUI-only.  It's just faster (at least in
my experience) to be able to type "vi [somefile]" after poking around in
the terminal than 

1. Open gedit (etc.)
2. File -> Open ... 
3. Navigate to file location...

Helps with my dayjob anyway.  Not a "sysadmin" by any means, but we rely
heavily on ssh, both for "speed" reasons (webUI is slow), and the simple
fact that you can hop around in one or two sessions, rather than needing
to log into 3 or 4 or 5 different webUIs.

Do you have a better CLI option then?

Looks like it took about an hour, all told (assuming this posts, I can
_read_ things fine.  Maybe you shouldn't assume things about people.

What's "Usenet being on life support" have to do with anything.  If it
dies, then it dies ... and people go off to somewhere else.  

Though with that said, there are very few places these days that have
not fallen to the stance of "get as many luddite eyes as possible", so
I'm sure there will kind of always be some dark corner of the internet
where tech-savvy people congregate.  Just takes some looking ...
