Just did some quick googling and it seems that there definitely is some product called "Avast SecureLine VPN." I'm not going to bother to check it but it seems that there is a free trial, so anyone can download it, post to Usenet and see if any unwanted signatures will appear. I suspect it will happen only in case of unsecured connection.
