Nel caso ci siano problemi con il monitor o la tastiera puoi commutare la
console dall'uscita video alla prima porta seriale sul retro (quella piccola
con il connettore MMJ, non la DB25) per mezzo dello switch sul fianco della
macchina dove ci sono i connettori per il mouse e la tastiera.

In ogni caso prima o poi ti servirà un emulatore di terminale, se non altro 
per collegarti via telnet. Sappi che VMS è abbastanza schizzinoso (anche se in 
verità sono gli emulatori a non essere per niente fedeli alle specifiche), ma 
con il classico PuTTY va piuttosto d'accordo.
