Years ago when we installed an early RH server release we did put it on a PC with a terminal attached but we ended up moving that terminal somewhere else. We still used it's GUI to do admin. Come to think of it, I wonder what the Wayland people are planning for server support? Back in the day, I remember a few of the configuration tools falling back to text mode when they had to.
