The feature side of things will be interesting. I had Intel and PPC Macs at
the time of the last change and I don't remember any significant feature
difference - insofar as my memory serves correctly and the comparison is
relevant.

Well, partly the case. It is literally the present, for end users at least.

We'll see. I'd be very surprised if we see a silcon iMac for a year or more.
