Ora, il vecchio 68000 per certi versi era un proto-multicore: 8 
accumulatori da 32bit, mentre il povero 6502 aveva un solo accumulatore 
(anche se i registri X,Y potevano fare alcune operazioni). Certo, un 
accumulatore non è un core (manca il program counter, vari registri di 
supporto, status register, stack pointer) tuttavia avere più di un 
accumulatore, permette di fare un botto di roba in più, risparmiando un 
sacco di giri di clock persi nel trasferimento dalla ram alla cpu (per 
carenza di spazio di buffer o registri da adoprare).
