Schaut gerade schlecht für die Nissan-Arbeiter in Sunderland aus, die
begeistert in Mehrzahl für den Brexit gestimmt haben:

https://www.theguardian.com/business/2019/feb/03/nissan-confirms-new-x-trail-will-not-be-built-in-sunderland

Do the math...

Lustig wie die fanatischen Brexit-Anhänger im Telegraph das abstreiten
wollen:

John Smith 3 Feb 2019 4:53PM
Nissan clearly in cahoots with the government stoking the fires of
Project Fear! Those jobs won’t vanish and even if they do, the mighty
people of Sunderland knew there might be tough times ahead and are
willing to suffer on the dole for the sake of the country!

Muppet Hunter 3 Feb 2019 5:01PM
@John Smith

There's never any shortage of Brexiters happy to see other people lose
their livelihood in the quest for Brexit

I bet your income is not at stake...

John Enright 3 Feb 2019 2:21PM
@Wilhelm Schmidt

The Japanese firm said: “While we have taken this decision for business
reasons, the continued uncertainty around the UK’s future relationship
with the EU is not helping companies like ours to plan for the future.”

It's a pity YOUR tiny IQ can't grasp what Nissan actually say in their
statement - so I'll try to put it in terms which even an ignorant racist
like YOU can get.

Nissan was considering building the X-Trail in Sunderland, because cars
they build in Japan had to pay heavy tariffs when shipped into the EU.
Now that Japan has arranged a trade deal with the EU, they can build
X-Trails on the production line they already have in Japan, so they
don't need to pay for a new production line in Sunderland. GOT THAT, CRETIN?

Now shove off and start working out how YOU lot will survive the
collapse of the biggest Ponzi scheme in the world - yes, I'm, talking
about Target 2, which YOU self-destructive halfwits designed and built,
in pursuit of setting up the Fourth Reich (a.k.a. the 'European Dream').
Do an internet search on the 'Red House Report', and you'll find the
plan which has been followed from the late 1940s right up to the present
day EU.

That economic disaster is headed for YOUR economy like a tsunami, Little
Willy - and there is NOTHING you can do to stop it.

If it had happened a few years sooner, you could have set a record, as
the nation whose fantasies of empire plunged most of Europe into utter
destruction three times in less than a hundred years.

Dirk Diggler 3 Feb 2019 3:26PM
A moron still sticking his head in the sand over Brexit. This pull out
is due to Brexit, make no bones about it. Whilst you keep shouting
“Project Fear”, this country is taking a battering. All for your
nonsense about undemocratic officials and xenophobia.

abs London 3 Feb 2019 1:55PM
sunderland voted for brexit, anyone losing their job as a result of this
should have a chat to their colleagues, family members and neighbours
who voted brexit

Lac Dirk 3 Feb 2019 4:11PM
@abs London Most workers at the plant and its suppliers voted to Leave.
In all this ridiculousness and mayhem, it's slightly comforting to know
that at least some people get exactly what they deserve.

John Enright 3 Feb 2019 1:38PM
No doubt the Remainder trolls will be piling in on this story, with
their usual "It's ALL the fault of you (insert usual string of racist
and bigoted epithets)!!"

Meanwhile, back on Planet Earth, the facts are as follows. The X-Trail
is currently being manufactured in Japan, but any cars built there have
to pay the EU's tariffs to be imported into the EU. Now, however, Japan
and the EU have agreed a trade deal whereby cars built in Japan can be
imported into the the EU without paying tariffs - so why should Nissan
bother to build a new production line in Sunderland when they can ship
them into the EU direct from Japan?

Furthermore, if you look at the way the market is going for vehicles
like the X-Trail (not just in the EU, but the rest of the world), it's
obvious that it is NOT an expanding market; if anything, it's shrinking
- and reviews on the X-Trail don't rate it as good as many of its
competitors.

So Nissan's decision on the X-Trail has got damn all to do with Brexit;
it's purely commercial good sense.

Andy Lekker 3 Feb 2019 1:39PM
@John Enright

quote from Nissan :The Japanese firm said: “While we have taken this
decision for business reasons, the continued uncertainty around the UK’s
future relationship with the EU is not helping companies like ours to
plan for the future.”

reality is inconvenient for brexiters!

John Smith 3 Feb 2019 1:33PM
Turkeys getting the Christmas they voted for. Or is this still project
fear Brexiteers?

John Enright 3 Feb 2019 1:39PM
@John Smith

Read my post, above, for the explanation as to why Nissan changed their
minds; not Brexit, but a trade deal between Japan and the EU.

Continental Cake 3 Feb 2019 1:29PM
UK's car industry is welcome in europe.

As a european i am a big supporter of brexit.

We get rid of the UK, but will have their industry (what's left...)

John Enright 3 Feb 2019 1:41PM
@Continental Cake

Run away and take a look at what's happening to YOUR industry,
Continental Clown - and that's nothing compared to what will happen when
Target 2 (the biggest Ponzi scheme the world has ever seen) collapses.

Dirk Diggler 3 Feb 2019 3:29PM
Keep shouting those conspiracy theories, Brexiter. I’m just surprised
you haven’t spouted something to do with WW2, which is what your ilk
normally does when it’s obvious Brexit will hurt this country
