  Indeed. If they can get away with it - i.e. not too many unhappy
customers, bad reviews, bad press, etc. - there's little to no incentive
for device makers to prolong the life of their products, quite the
contrary.

  BTW, did you notice nospam doing yet another dodge-and-divert,
pretending *I* 'claim' something, while what I *actually* did was
giving references to an authoritative source.

  I'm sure most here will take Battery University's expertise over
nospam's unsubstantiated foot-stamping any time.

  In closing, a repeat of what I said in the "charging to 80 or 90%"
thread (and which nospam of course also dodged and diverted):

  If anyone still has any doubt about what is myth and what is fact, it
might help somewhat to know that Teslas are normally configured to 90%
or a bit less. One would think that *they* know a bit about batteries,
wouldn't one!? :-)
