Hmm. I find it difficult to believe that discharging to 80% and then 
recharging to 100%, five times, has the _same_ effect on battery life as 
discharging to 0% (well, cutoff point) and charging back to 100%. 
_Which_ shortens battery life the most, I wouldn't hazard a guess.

Define "normally". (For example, is a laptop that is normally connected 
to the mains "normal"? I suspect that for a lot of people, it is.)

"tl;dr" is all very well (other than that it makes you sound rude and a 
smart-alec), until something comes along that you d'd r.
