I wonder how common it is to have a security screw that small. About 1991, my BIL had a frightfully expensive Mac that took a lot of table space. It kept crashing. After months, he discovered a hairline crack in a memory socket. A new socket was pretty cheap, and I had years of experience soldering stuff like that, but, with a computer that cost as much as some new cars, he paid to ship it a thousand miles to an authorized facility. You can do serious damage changing memory. Maybe that's a reason Apple uses diabolical screws.
