Nah, this was a solo thing, basically a one-man "team" who resented
someone else with knowledge intruding on his bailiwick.

He didn't deal out his nastiness based on gender... he would get testy
with anyone who suggested that he fix an issue or, heaven forbid, make his
code more robust.  For example, rather than provide a library with an
input-sanitizing module, he would haughtily instruct (along with his
"manager") user's to avoid "special character".  Ye gods!  Asshole.
