Just got an Android phone (ver.7).  Not a happy camper here so far. 
Android seems to want to make everything harder than it should be and 
more complex than needed, but that is just the opinion of a Linux user ;-)

My issue is that to have a contacts list of phone numbers, the 
permissions required are: calendar, contacts (obviously), location, 
phone (obviously), SMS, storage (obvious), and email attachments.  My 
question is why are calendar, location, and email needed?  Why would I 
want to do this and what are the security ramifications?  I'm curious 
how this would be handled if the phones were given out to women that 
have been harmed.
