There's a bit of confusion because the name "Virtual PC" was hijacked 
by Microsoft.

The original product was "Connectix Virtual PC" - an *emulation* 
application for PowerPC Macs to be able to run Windows and DOS.

The Connectix product was bought up by Microsoft and the application's 
name was changed to "Microsoft Virtual PC", but it is here that it 
becomes two different products - one a slightly updated version of 
Connectix Virtual PC emulation application for PowerPC Macs (which 
didn't last long) and a separate *virtualisation* application for PCs 
to host other OSes (later renamed to to "Windows Virtual PC").
