Actually, I can code the HMAC part, I am looking for some bug free 
cryptographic hash functions to go along with the MAC part. SHA-2 with 
its suite of hash algorithms with different digest sizes is a nice target.

I found some interesting code, do not know if it is bug free yet, so it 
goes into my examples folder for now... ;^) :

That is only one 32-byte digest. I also need bug free sha-512 and 384 at 
least.

I can code these myself, but it would be nice to use something that is 
verified bug free and already existing.

Fwiw, the cipher itself, best discussed over on sci.crypt is fairly
