To the OP, disconnect your modem from the cable and then complain. Their system should see a fault on your line and when you get through to someone you can explain the issue. It is best to ring faults later rather than earlier as you will likely then get a UK centre rather than someone in Asia who can barely speak English and will not deviate from a letter of their script. If they won't play ball, ask to be put through to Retentions as you wish to leave.
