Not being able to get Virgin Media (despite living on Cable Street...) I 
don't know the best way to report a fault, although I'm sure someone

However, if you can tell us what form the fault takes it may well be 
that some advice can be offered that avoids going to Virgin (although 
conversely it may well be that the advice is that it has to go to them)

every telco has more complexities to it than they can possibly imagine 
let alone manage.  Allied to that a reduction of training and hence 
expertise amongst the workforce over the years and you end up with any 
issues being a crapshoot of whether they are easily resolved or not.
