Vielleicht z.T. daher (aus dem gleichen Artikel):

An den Großbahnhöfen rächten sich nun frühere Stellenstreichungen bei der 
Bundespolizei, sagt Gewerkschafter Radek. Die Regierung Merkel habe zudem 
Personal von Bahnhöfen zu Flughäfen und Grenzsicherung abgezogen. Aktuell 
gibt es rund 5000 Bahnpolizisten - dem GDP-Mann zufolge sind das etwa 2350 
Beamte zu wenig: "Die Kollegen sind längst am Limit." Sie könnten nicht mehr 
"die abschreckende Präsenz an den Bahnhöfen zeigen wie früher", sagt Radek.

Laut Radek gibt es auch andere Ursachen für den Kriminalitätsanstieg: "Ein 
Teil der Straftaten geht auf eine kleine Minderheit unter den Flüchtlingen 
zurück." Da gebe es "nichts schön zu reden".
