Piping audio to the C64's cassette port requires a little hardware hack, but one that was very popular in the early eighties. There were "DIY" kits for this in the electronics stores, and records were in a lot of magazines. Some local FM stations even broadcast C64 games late at night. You did a load, and then started the record, or listened to the broadcast, and when the load finished you could save or run the program. The C64 cassette interface was only 300 baud and has a bit of redundancy, and was quite rubustly coded; so it could cope with a lot of abuse. But it was SLOOOOWWWW. -- mrr
