See?  Forth is not very interactive at all.

Control structures don't even work in the REPL.

It's amazing how many people say that they picked
Forth because it's interactive.

Why didn't they pick OCaml, Haskell, ML, Scheme, Lisp,
Ruby, Perl, Python, or Julia?

Abysmal ignorance and mindlessness.

Ruby:

if false then 0  else 88 end
    ==>88

Scheme:

#;1> (if #f 0 88)
88

OCaml:

# if false then 0 else 88 ;;
- : int = 88

Lisp:

* (if nil 0 88)
