What did you do when you used to go to an internet cafe; did you modify 
all their machines too? What about when using machines belonging to 
others? And what about when someone uses your machine, and overrides all 
your settings with theirs?

Keyboard setup (eg. making " and @ match their respective keys) is 
usually done once on a new machine, then you forget about it.

This sort of confirms what I suspect that Linux people spend too much 
time doing configuration...
