Whereas I learned BSD UNIX -- well, I learned ex, vi, n/troff,
eqn, tbl, and eventually how to write a few *very simple* shell
scripts. Could never have done it if I hadn't been married to a
programmer who didn't know anything about UNIX either, but knew
how to read technical manuals.

Then I got a different job and had to learn to use a Mac, and
I've already discussed how I wanted to have so many hotkeys that
I never had to use the mouse, and didn't get my wish.

Now I'm using OpenOffice, which is sort of imitation MS Word.
For anything really computerish, I depend on Hal.
