I always wondered about that, so I looked,it up today. Seems the high
priest wore a headless made of linen and wool, so nobody else was allowed
to do that. Maybe somebody had decided that it conferred special powers.
Comes in a long series about not mixing things: Don’t mix seeds a field;
don’t breed,different animals together. Sounds like good agricultural
practice. Probably the best way to get people to do things right wast to
say ”because God said so.” Kind of like speed limits.
