Google's applications are very stable, very functional and very
elegant. They are essentially the very opposite of anything built for
Linux. Meanwhile, the Linux kernel, even recently, breaks things from
one version to another. If you read Phoronix, you'll notice that even
kernel upgrades screw things up in Linux on a regular basis by causing
some hardware which worked fine to suddenly not work. So yeah, I'd
blame the kernel much sooner than Google's apps instead.
