Debian Jessie -- xterm 312 -- works. OpenSUSE 42.1 Leap -- xterm 308 -- fails. OpenSUSE 13.2 -- xterm 312 -- fails. Neither OpenSUSE version's xterm manpage documents anything being disabled with respect to Tektronix mode.
