You make it sound as though writing this stuff in C++ makes everything 
beautifully clean, clear and concise. But the C++ code I've seen is 
anything but that!

The cleanest code might be with dynamic languages where most of the 
workings really are behind the scenes. And they are not bristling with 
syntax.

C code wouldn't be anything like that but is usually much less sinister 
in appearance than C++.
