It is important to me. In fact, I'd like to continue using Firefox, but there are too many problems. Around 20% of the movies have no sound, while running perfectly in Chromium in the same time. I think it is because of outdated ffmpeg version. I wish there was an extension which allows user to bypass internal HTML5 movie player and redirect input to external player. I don't care if it is not "trendy". I tried to define external app based on MIME type, but it doesn't work. On HTML5 browsers it is like trying to define external HTML viewer, I wonder if I should try to find pre-HTML5 version of Firefox with Gecko Media player.
