But you never summarize correctly.
Sure, I tried everything suggested, but I didn't write my own software and
compile it, so, um, yeah, just like you telling me to run iTunes on Linux,
sure, you can say I didn't try everything that was suggested.
But I did try:
$ sudo arp-scan --interface=wlan0 --localnet
$ sudo netdiscover -i wlan0 -r 192.168.1.0/24
$ sudo nmap --script broadcast-dhcp-discover -p67 192.168.1.0/24
$ sudo fing -n 192.168.1.0/24 -r 1
These failed to report *all* devices (hence they're useless):
$ sudo netdiscover -i wlan0 -r 192.168.1.0/24
$ sudo arp-scan --interface=wlan0 --localnet
$ fping -a -c 1 -q -g 192.168.1.0/24
$ sudo nmap --script broadcast-dhcp-discover -p67 192.168.1.0/24
etc.
I even tried:
$ myscan.sh
+ sudo arp-scan --interface=wlan0 --localnet
