Please replace my r with a. v is an average across the orbit; if the orbit is eccentric v speeds up and to compensate slows down. > For average speed on elliptical orbit, the relation of v, a and T is not so easy, as v = perimeter_of_ellipse / T, where perimeter_of_ellipse is function of a and e. Furthermore, there is no analytic closed formula to calculate the ellipse perimeter. All formulas are approximations or infinite series.
