Share. Thank you for sharing that Ski Tracks might work to replace the lost functionality of My Tracks. I tried Google Fit today for five miles, and, it is absolutely terrible. I can go on and on about why it is *not* a replacement for MyTracks, but suffice to simply say that it doesn't do simple things like save a track, so, it's basically a flawed design from the start. Google Fit might work for other people but it's *not* a MyTracks replacement. Looking further for a MyTracks replacement, Ski Tracks from Core Coders LTD deserves a look see. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.corecoders.skitracks&hl=en The first words of the description are scary in that it's "designed for winter sports", so, it might not have what we need. The good news is that the description implies it works offline, which is a basic requirement of any hiking/tracking app. Also, from what you say, Ski Tracks will save the GPX or KML track onto your device (there should never be any need to upload a track). That's another basic requirement of any tracking app. The bad news is that you need to be on the Internet just to see an underlying map, which pretty much kills it as a basic app for replacing MyTracks functionality. Also no topo, which, again, is a very basic requirement. I'll keep looking, as today I simply tested Google Fit, which is fine for some people but which is not even close to a MyTracks replacement.
