Facts only.

You are correct in that both iOS and Android users are at risk of being 
spied upon, particularly by Google - and you are correct that the iOS users 
are inherently likely to be at a far greater risk than the Android users, 
simply because their control over the OS is far less tweakable than the 
Android users' control over the device.

After all, I have *both* iOS and Android devices, and the same privacy 
concerns for both. I have tweaked both, where the Android Advertising ID 
and location services were easily eliminated (as far as anyone can tell).

I have yet to be attack the complete removal of the iOS advertising ID and 
the iOS location services - so your astute advice and knowledge of iOS 
tweaks will be beneficial when we approach setting up iOS as safe as we can 
easily set up Android.

So this is a fact-finding mission, to see exactly who spies on whom, on 
unrooted Android and iOS devices when they're tweaked for privacy.

Do you have any iOS facts to offer on how to eliminate the advertising id 
on iOS to reach the same privacy level we have on Android with respect to 
the AdID?
