You've got to be kidding me. LIGO is the name of a collaboration of 
scientists and the detector that they built. The authors of the 
published papers built that facility, tested it, collected the data, 
analyzed the data.

So who have you reached out to in the LIGO collaboration?

I don't believe any of the LIGO physicists are correspondents on 
sci.physics. Tell me, if you wanted a question answered about the 
clinical trial data for some pharmaceutical product, would you stand up 
in a hardware store and ask the question and seriously expect an answer?

Have you asked anyone on the LIGO collaboration? If so, whom?

Do you not know how to get the email addresses of the physicists on the 
LIGO collaboration?
